Maïka Sondarjee is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto. Her research areas are: participatory development, norms in IR, IR theory, social theory, the practice turn (in sociology and in IR), SAPs and PRSPs, International organizations (UNDP, WB, IMF), human rights norms, development issues in Latin America and India. She holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from the Université de Montréal, and a BA in Journalism from l’UQAM. Maïka worked as an international consultant in Burkina Faso with Oxfam Québec and L’Association Munyu des femmes de la Comoé (2010), in Bolivia with the Canadian NGO SOCODEVI (2012), and in India with Mother Teresa Missionaries of Charity (2014). In 2015, she founded the Youth Canadian Association for International Development (YCAID).
